Who we are
Whiteburn Projects is the company within the Whiteburn Group responsible for the delivery of our developments. We are members of Home For Scotland and Scottish Property Federation, and actively take part in working groups to represent our industry.
Whiteburn Projects is responsible for the management of the delivery of our new build homes. We are actively engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to build our supply chain to delivery quality and expert attention to detail in the construction of our new homes.
Our Team
Eve McCurrich
Eve is the Managing Director of Whiteburn Projects Ltd.
Eve is a Quantity Surveyor with a wealth of experience in our industry. She has been responsible for the creation of Whiteburn’s award winning residential business and building our team.
Eve is passionate about what we do and how we do it.
Eve is a member of St. Andrews University Court and Director of Homes for Scotland.
In her spare time Eve loves getting outdoors on her allotment and planning adventures with her springer spaniel, Nell.
Roger Bainbridge
Roger has created the design ethos for our homes. He is passionate about place making and he leads the technical consultants who support our business.
Roger studied Architecture and went on to work in private practice in the UK and Germany before embarking on a career in property and house building.
Roger sits on the Homes For Scotland Small Builders Group and has collaborated with the Scottish Government to develop their Designing Streets agenda.
In his spare time Roger likes travelling all over the world, cooking and eating new and interesting meals and recipes.
John Shepherd
A chartered engineer with over 40 years’ experience in property development, John was a founding member of the Whiteburn Group, forming Whiteburn Projects in 1992. He has been the catalyst for a number of regeneration projects, which have become key landmarks in the Scottish urban landscape.
Toria Jones
Toria’s passion is people. She is known as our ‘Director of Dreams and Sparkles’. Toria manages our dedicated sales team to ensure each of our customers is supported individually on their journey of becoming a Whiteburn homeowner.
In her spare time shes busy up-cycling furniture, walking dogs and chasing grand children.
Charlie Bain
The quality of our construction and the ‘Whiteburn Way’ is from leadership of Charlie. He has a passion and expectation for delivering high standards of workmanship.
A joiner to trade, his skills took him working across the world before he moved into management.
In his spare time, he is a keen Hearts FC supporter, attending all home games with his sons and was for many years a Hearts FC youth coach and scout.
Susie Burns
Susie is our accountant.
A qualified Chartered Management Accountant, Susie has many years’ experience, starting with graduate accountancy training in practice in London. Once qualified, Susie spent the next 5 years working for small/medium businesses as a Financial/Management Accountant before moving to RBS in Edinburgh, where she spent the last 13 years working as a Reporting Accountant.
Away from work Susie is kept busy by her 3 children and 2 dogs!
Anna Grant
Anna is often called “IT Anna” as she is our go to woman to solve our problems but more importantly she responsible for the coordination of our digital strategy and maketing campaigns – as well as managing our office and supporting us all!
Anna’s career has spanned through industries such as; construction, architectural lighting design, interior design, and architecture.
In her spare time Anna loves to travel the world, however is mostly on more local adventures with her German Shepherd, Akira.
Nicole King
Nicole manages our procurement and supply chain operations and plays an integral role in helping Whiteburn deliver high-quality new build homes. Working closely with suppliers and site teams, she helps ensure materials, products, and resources are sourced efficiently and to the highest standards, supporting delivery of our developments from start to finish.
Nicole studied Quantity Surveying at Edinburgh Napier University, where she achieved a First Class Honours degree, and she is also a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
Originally from Fife, Nicole is a passionate ice hockey fan and a dedicated Fife Flyers season ticket holder. Outside of work, she is kept busy by her energetic Pomeranian pup, Banoffee.
Fran Cassidy
Fran is our Site Manager responsible for the delivery of our award winning homes at Viewforth, Kirkcaldy.
Fran has a wealth of experience and has previously worked with Cala Homes and Miller Homes.
Colin Yule
With 47 years of industry experience, Colin brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and leadership to the Whiteburn team. Having built a long and respected career within the construction industry, Colin has extensive experience managing projects, leading site teams, and delivering high standards of workmanship and safety. Colin will be Site Manager at our March Street development in Peebles, where he will oversee day-to-day site operations and help ensure the successful delivery of the project from start to finish.
Colin enjoys holidays and spending time with his family.
John Currie
John began his career with a four-year apprenticeship as a painter and decorator with Leyland Paints and also served for two and a half years in the Territorial Army with the Royal Signals. He later went on to hold senior roles with Wimpey Homes, David Wilson Homes, Lovell Partnerships, and Connect Modular, progressing from Trades Foreman to Senior Site Manager and Construction Manager across a wide range of private and social housing developments.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Margaret, their daughter Charley, and grandson Levi. John enjoys watching football, especially his team, Celtic. He previously enjoyed climbing and cycling, however these days, he enjoys travelling to Lanzarote, Portugal and the Isle of Arran. When not travelling, John enjoys going to West End shows.
