Whiteburn Wild Swimming on BBC iPlayer

The Whiteburn team love nothing more than to get outdoors and embrace nature. Even at this cold time of year, some get energised and invigorated with wild swimming in locations all over the country. Our team’s usual locations are off the local shores of Edinburgh’s Portobello beach, and the various famed wild swimming hotspots along the fife costal route, such as Pittenweem, St Monans and from the beach, a short walk from our Viewforth New Build Homes development in Kirkcaldy.

We’re extremely proud and excited that one of the Whiteburn team, Lara Brown is featured in the BBC Scotland’s tv show, Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim.

Lara is part of the wild swimming group Seafield Sinkers, who are:

“A group of crazy & wonderful people who enjoy getting in the water at Seafield, Pathhead, Dysart or various location over Scotland with our “Sinkers on tour” events.

Rain or shine we’re there. spring summer autumn or winter we just don’t stop, if you keep coming we’ll keep creating events. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, some swimmers, sinkers, dippers & dookers and of course some seals. Our logo is our very own Seafield resident Simon who popped up about 2 ft from us and can regularly be seen with his friends & family.

It’s all about getting in the water and having fun and we’ll always give you a big sinkers welcome.”

Our Viewforth Kirkcaldy development is only a few minutes’ walk from Ravenscraig Park, which has various beaches and coves to explore – wild swimming could be on your doorstep if you wanted!
