At Whiteburn, we’re committed not only to building great homes but also to supporting and protecting the communities and environments around them. That’s why we were delighted to team up with the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust for a beach clean at Pathhead Sands in Kirkcaldy — just a stone’s throw from our Viewforth New Build Homes development.

We had a fantastic turnout on the day, with a team of 16 volunteers taking part — including members of the Whiteburn team and our brilliant sub-contractors, AHL Scaffolding. The weather was on our side with glorious sunshine, and while the beach initially looked quite clean, we were surprised by just how much litter we managed to collect.

By the end of the session, we had filled several bags with rubbish and even removed some unexpected items, including an old chair and a door!

To cool off after the hard work, some of the team took a refreshing dunk/swim in the Firth of Forth — a perfect way to end a great day.
